The Red Barn / Sally & Nathan / Norfolk Wedding Photography
It was the 7th of March 2020 in King's Lynn, Norfolk, almost 3 years to the day that Sally & Nathan got engaged and it was time for their wedding.
Outside it was a little grey, a little windy but it was dry-ish and it wasn't warm but it wasn't freezing!
I met Sally and her squad at Sally & Nathan's home in the middle of Lynn in the morning for the bridal preparations.
There was coffee, pastries and plenty of childhood stories to keep everyone entertained.
Jessica, Sally's friend and bridesmaid was on make up and hair duties, whilst everyone around her chatted away Jessica worked hard to make everyone sparkle.
Is sparkle the right thing to say about hair and make up??? Answers on the back of a postcard please.
Dad then turned up and had a few things to say about his outfit.
It's a good job his team was there to help with the finishing touches.
Upstairs the dress, the shoes, the jewellery and the perfume were all waiting for their moment.
Sally's dress was from Heart Brides, Ely, Cambridgeshire.
A portrait by the window is one of my final and favourite shots before I rush off for the ceremony.
Here's a time where the nerves are always replaced by a proper smile and happy face.......this is it!
Dad was pretty happy too!
A quick drive out of town and on to the A10, Half way to Downham Market, you will find a sign for the Red Barn.

It's an impressive medieval barn with an eye catching red roof, big enough to seat 130 guests and that's without a marquee on the side. Big weddings anyone!?
Outside Sally got ready for her walk down the aisle and inside Nathan and the guys had time for the last bit of banter before it was time to get serious.
Just what were these 2 looking at?
I love walking around and capturing these moments.
Street photography wedding style!
When all the family & friend photos were ticked off the list I ran around and organised the teleporter on site to give me a different perspective for the big group shot.
YEAAAAAAAH!
As the guests went back in side to grab a drink and mingle, Sally & Nathan had time to enjoy being newlyweds alone together.....well apart from me being there obviously.
Black and white just works!
I promise you they're in the there somewhere.
I bloody love cheese!
Sally was a busy girl in the days before the wedding make all of these.
I wish I had a plate of these every day of my life.
The El Heffes Taco Bus made a great backdrop for one last portrait before it was time to head back in for the food and speeches.
With just enough light left outside for a bit of fun and swagger, this lot owned it!
And then the board games came out.
Or is that just Vogue?
When it comes to the 1st dance I'm always waiting to capture a look, a kiss or........
DJ Greg Claridge got the dance floor jumping and singing (maybe that's shouting?)
And just before my day was done I had one more idea for a shot.
I love these moments and opportunities to create something special and unique.
If your looking for some real 'street food' for your wedding then definitely check out El Heffes Taco Bus based in Long Sutton, Lincolnshire.
So, by the end of the day this Norfolk Wedding Photographer was a happy guy; I'd captured some real moments for Sally & Nathan to look back on and laugh about, created some amazing portraits that would look great hung up on the wall and I had a full belly of tray bakes and tacos.
Photography and food is the way to this mans heart.
Thank you Nathan & Sally, the new Mr & Mrs Butcher.
Thank you so much for allowing me to photograph your Red Barn wedding x
