Emily & Chris, Saracens Head Hotel, Towcester.

A few days after the hottest day ever I left Lincolnshire and drove 80 miles to join Chris and Emily in Northamptonshire.

Their big day was taking place at Saracens Head Hotel in Towcester.

The sunshine had gone and it was time for some more of the ol' British favourite but that never stops great photos.

I joined Emily and her squad for a little bit of prep in an absolutely roasting hot room, there was plenty of jokes and fun around the only fan in the room.

Downstairs it was time for the main event.

Just as the ceremony finished it stopped raining, so we headed outside for the family & friends group photos.

I decided the best space for these were right outside the front of the hotel. I’ve said it before but I love the buzz of photographing newlyweds in the middle of a town centre, it’s a real busy road outside and the cars and passer’s by were happy to stop to let me get each photo.

I took Chris and Emily away for a walk, Emily told me about a really nice park not far away, so that’s where we headed.

I do love a rainy photo, an umbrella helps tell a great romantic story.

Next was the wedding breakfast and the speeches, there’s nothing like good food and a few laughs.

The evening guests arrived just after seven, we all made our way inside for the cutting of the cake and the first dance.

Time to throw some shapes.
